2020 was a challenging year for all humankind due to the COVID-19 pandemic. But still, some people suffered more than others. Olymp Trade cooperated with its traders in Vietnam to reach out to some families afflicted by the natural disaster.
In October and November 2020, several Central Vietnam provinces were repeatedly hit by severe cyclones that caused massive floods and landslides. As a result, around 1.5 million people have been directly affected. Many of them now have their houses, food supplies, livestock, and household possessions damaged or ruined by the dangerous waters.
Olymp Trade is an international broker that has been successfully operating since 2014. The company has a reputation for being a user-friendly service provider trusted by millions of people worldwide. Many of its clients come from Asia, including Vietnam. Naturally, the immediate reaction of the Olymp Trade team was to help this country’s citizens overcome unexpected hardships.
Sending aid to the Central Vietnam flood victims is a part of the platform’s lifelong commitment to helping people rise above their situation. This time, Olymp Trade joined forces with some of its Vietnamese traders. Together, they assembled and safely delivered emergency packages to Hai Lang District in Quang Tri Province.
On November 28–29, many families living in this rural area in the North Central Coast region of Vietnam received the Olymp Trade aid packages that will help them get through the rainy day. Apart from food staples, these packages contained basic school supplies the kids and students need to continue with their education.
The Olymp Trade representative responsible for the mission praised the excellent performance of the on-site team:
We really appreciate the support of the platform’s local traders, who helped us at every stage. Sure, Olymp Trade has some experience with charity events, but in the case of Central Vietnam, we had to react as quickly as possible. Sometimes it looked like a spontaneous charity mission, with a lot of fast thinking and acting. And much of the credit goes to the on-site team, who provided us with all the necessary information and assistance.
It’s not the first time that Olymp Trade gives people resources to recover and start over. Earlier in 2020, the team distributed foods and other supplies among Indian and Indonesian households impoverished by the pandemic-inflicted economic crisis.
The company’s representatives expressed the wish that such charity initiatives would go viral and involve more people. As for Olymp Trade, the platform will continue to organize more missions in the future. Hopefully, most of them will be coinciding with a colorful festival, not following a disaster.
